Antonino Secchia vor dem Deutschen NationaltheaterAntonino Secchia (born 1988) studied Percussion under Fulvia Ricevuto as well as Electroacoustic Composition under Domenico Sciajno at the CONSERVATORIO ANTONIO SCONTRINO in Trapani (Italy). At the time of his graduation in February 2010 he began to study with an Erasmus Scholarship at the HOCHSCHULE FÜR MUSIK FRANZ LISZT WEIMAR.
In Winter Semester 2010/11, with support from the Neue Liszt Stiftung Weimar, he began his Aufbaustudium Konzertexamen in the Percussion Studio of Prof. Markus Leoson and Prof. Gerhard Gläßer, which he completed with honors in November 2013. In March 2013 he was awarded a Scholarship by the YAMAHA MUSIC F OUNDATION OF EUROPE .
In the past years he worked in various Orchestras such as the Jena Philharmonic, the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra and the Staatskapelle Weimar.
Antonino Secchia has performed at various festivals such as Isole in Musica, LiveIxem!, Audiovisiva – Milano, Suonafrancese and the Weimarer Frühjahrstagen für Zeitgenössische Musik.
